Get rid of carpet smells to rid your carpet of foul smells first blot any strongly affected spots with a damp cloth.
White wine carpet smell.
Blot up as much of the spilled wine as possible.
Sponge the area of the carpet that still smells like wine.
The vinegar in the solution will act as a deodorizer to help remove the smell.
If you ve removed a wine stain but the carpet still smells you may have missed some of the stain.
You should be able to remove the rest of the stain if you go over the entire area with a steam cleaner.
Be careful not to overdo it or you will strip color from the carpet.
This household acid is cheap and effective at cutting though wine related odors within carpeting.
Next blot the area dry with a clean dry cloth or paper towel.
Pull up the carpet.
3 white vinegar mixture.
Mix one part white vinegar with eight parts hot water and pour a heavy amount of this solution over the affected area within the carpeting.
Allow the club soda or white wine to sit a moment gently blot with a cloth and repeat with carpet cleaner.
Moisten the carpet fibers down to the bottom of the carpet to loosen any remaining wine stains.
Some wine may have also absorbed into the carpet pad under the carpet.
