Whyis the vinyl tranfer tape taking the paint with it.
Today i have a fun thanksgiving fall sign and a free cut file down at the bottom i wanted to break it up and do a post that i should have done before this post but finally i m going to show you how to use transfer tape while we craft this fun sign and talk about why you need transfer tape in your vinyl stash.
Remove vinyl from backing and transfer with blue painter s tape for all your projects.
Line up the triangles perfectly on top of each other and your two layers should line up perfectly.
I have found that cricut vinyl transfer tape works well.
Peel off the transfer tape backing and apply the transfer tape to the vinyl design.
Using a scraper tool rub back and forth to adhere the vinyl.
First you need to get ahold of some transfer tape.
Contact paper is also way less expensive than cricut transfer tape.
Next cut a piece of transfer tape that is big enough to cover your entire vinyl design.
Contact paper works awesome with stencil vinyl but not so well with cricut glitter vinyl.
I was scared to try the transfer tape with my silhouette vinyl designs and stencils but one you get the hang of it it will be your best friend.
If you re making your own files in design space or other cutting machine software you can add your own registration marks.
