Unplug your washing machine. One way to winterize your washing machine is to drain the machine of all water. Once you re ready to use your washing machine again after using this winterizing method run water through the hoses to rid them of antifreeze. Next remove the washer drain hose from the drain opening.

If the washer is stored in an area where freezing can occur or moved into freezing temperatures follow these winterizing instructions to prevent damage to your washer. Finally unplug your washing machine and power it down completely leaving it that way for the entirety of the season. This will run the water out of the inlet valve. Shut off both water spigots.

How to winterize your washer. Turn the timer knob to fill and select warm wash warm rinse. If yours has the button catcher or lint filter on the bottom right or left of the front place a thirsty towel down in front of it and unscrew the filter. Turn off water supply faucets.

When ready for use. Turn the machine on for ten seconds. Disconnect the hoses from the water supply and drain the water from the hoses. Start by turning off the water supply faucets.

Then disconnect the hoses from the water supply and allow the water in the hoses to drain out. Pour a quart of pink rv antifreeze into the basket.
